Wow what a week. Doesn't it always seem like the crud just hit the fan! And yet Jesus knew we would feel this way and so God gave us psalm 32 to help us remember who to turn to in tough times. Fill us with the Joy of Salvation Lord! So that when all around us seems like it's falling apart and us with it, the world looks to us Christians for security, faith and joy. When I was a kid I realized somewhere along the line that my friends may have given me a hard time because I wasn't into parties or drugs, drinking and all the other stuff that sometimes gets into people’s lives. I realized that they needed me to be solid in Christ because they couldn't or didn't know how to. My friends began to look to me to be Christ in their lives and on those many occasions when I was not a good witness of that faith, they suffered more greatly than I did. People begin to rely on us to be Christ on Earth especially during bad times. Who then do we rely on when we feel like an Island. As the Church we are not only Christ’s body for the world, we are Christ for each other as well. Look to the miracle of a friend who listens or a spouse or loved one who gives you his/her life. Respond to Gods call to repent and then be Christ for the world. Be the joy of Christ on the earth.
