This weeks psalm response is "Teach me your ways, O Lord."
Many of us have heard the saying, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." This weeks psalm really reminds me of the importance of being open to God's teaching. It's a cry to God that "Yes, now I'm ready to learn!" It's an acceptance of God's supremacy and leadership. It's an admonition that God is compassionate and kind. It's a psalm that tells us that if we are humble God will lead us. So now the big question.... have you admitted any mistakes lately..... chances are you've made a few.
Are you a humble servant. Feel free to join me in prayer.
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
"Lord I'm a sinner and I know it. I understand that I don't even see all my sins and that sometimes I don't recognize when I do wrong. Teach me your ways Lord and lead me on this path to your kingdom. I praise you for all of the blessings you've given, both pleasant and difficult. I praise you for all the successes and failures in my life and I ask you to show me your will for my life. Only you can guide me Lord. Teach me your ways."
Now go be good.
God Bless, Perry
R. Teach me your ways, O Lord.
Your ways, O LORD, make known to me;
teach me your paths,
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my savior.
Remember that your compassion, O LORD,
and your love are from of old.
In your kindness remember me,
because of your goodness, O LORD.
Good and upright is the LORD;
thus he shows sinners the way.
He guides the humble to justice
and teaches the humble his way.
